UET Peshawar observed Youm-e-Tashakur today to honor the armed forces for their swift and resolute response to recent Indian aggression and to celebrate the successful execution of Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos. Dr. Sadiq Khattak, Vice Chancellor UET Peshawar hoisted the national flag in a solemn ceremony attended by faculty members, students, and staff.
In his address, Dr. Sadiq Khattak paid tribute to the valiant armed forces, the Government of Pakistan and the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for their unwavering commitment, courage and sacrifices in ensuring the safety and security of the nation.
He said the success of Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos stands as a powerful testament to the resolve and professionalism of Pakistan’s armed forces.
He emphasized their critical role in safeguarding peace and stability across the country and expressed profound gratitude to the families of the Shuhadaa for their sacrifices. Dr. Sadiq Khattak encouraged students and faculty to remain united and dedicated to the cause of national development and nation-building.
Later, Youm-e-Tashakur Walk was also held on campus where participants marched while chanting patriotic slogans such as “Nara-e-Takbeer”, “Pakistan Zindabad,” and “Solidarity with Kashmir,” expressing deep national pride and unity. The ceremony served as a powerful demonstration of the university’s solidarity with the armed forces and their shared commitment to patriotism and national cohesion
