President Pakistan Young Lawyers Forum, Arslan Ayaz Advocate, while addressing a press conference, said that the reform of the justice system in the country is the most important need of the hour.
Judiciary is the main pillar of the country and the states always stand on justice. Our forum will work on reforms in the judicial system, we will give suggestions according to the aspirations of the people and in the light of the constitution and law.
Today, the accusations leveled at our judiciary, if a judge is accused of corruption or his educational qualification is questioned, he should also answer them.
If the question of two sheets can be asked from Hazrat Umar R.A during the Caliphate and the judge can give a decision against Hazrat Ali Karamullah Wajhhu during the Caliphate, then anyone including the judiciary can be questioned.
He said that the process of self accountability should start in the judiciary, In response to a question about Shakeel Tanoli case, he said that even if a judge’s daughter crushes two citizens, she should be punished according to the law.
Even if a politician crushes a traffic warden, there should be punishment, he added, adding that our forum will formulate suggestions and recommendations for the improvement of the justice system, as well as suggestions and reforms for the constitution and recommendations for modern legislation and Will also do research.
The forum will give suggestions to make the judicial system faster and more efficient in the country while also taking steps to free legal aid and justice for the destitute, oppressed people and release of innocent prisoners and those who cannot pay minor fines.
The forum is completely non-political, non-electoral, non-linguistic. And the rules of the Bar Council of Pakistan and other councils should also be fully followed, while this forum will also remain completely neutral as a forum in the elections of the bar councils.
