Pakistan’s talented bodybuilder Zahid Nadeem Mughal brought pride to the nation by winning a silver medal in the 90kg category at the Bodybuilding World Cup held in Tokyo, Japan.
Under the leadership of the Pakistan Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, two athletes represented the country in the competition. Zahid Nadeem Mughal from WAPDA competed in the bodybuilding category, while Islamabad’s Fazal Khan participated in the Men’s Physique category. The federation’s Secretary General Tariq Zafar and Sheikh Shakeel Ilyas accompanied the team as officials.
Zahid Nadeem’s remarkable performance not only raised Pakistan’s flag on the global stage but also highlighted his dedication to the sport. According to Federation President Tariq Pervez, the athletes and officials bore all expenses themselves, as no financial support was provided by the government. He emphasized that despite the lack of official sponsorship, the athletes’ self-reliance and hard work enabled them to achieve international recognition for Pakistan.
It is worth noting that Pakistani bodybuilders have previously won numerous medals at both Asian and world levels, showcasing their talent and determination to excel in the sport.
