‘Baseless allegations’

Asif Ali Zardari has sent legal notice to PTI Chairman Imran Khan for leveling charges against him of hiring hitmen to kill him. A legal notice of Rs10 billion defamation claim has been sent to Imran from Zardari wherein PTI chairman has been asked to tender unconditional apology within 14 days . The legal notice was sent by Farooq H Naik on behalf of Zardari wherein it is stated that Imran accused Zardari in his televised address, Imran claimed the PPP co-chairman has hired a terrorist outfit to have him killed after the previous attempt in Wazirabad on his life failed
It has been said in the legal notice has Imran Khan solid evidence in this regard. This is sheer allegation and slander and this has led to create suspicions. Therefore Imran Khan should give his clear stance to the court. The evidence should be brought to fore.
You are, therefore, hereby called upon to render unconditional apology from our client, on television, print and social media, within 14 (fourteen) days from the receipt of this notice, failing whereof, our client shall be constrained to institute appropriate legal proceedings against you, civil as well as criminal, before the competent Courts of law and forums of Pakistan as well as of England, including but not limited to Suit for Damages for Rs.10,000,000,000/- (Rupees ten billion Only) at your risk as to cost and consequences,” said the notice.
