11 shops seal in anti-encroachment drive in Landi Kotal bazaar

In a bid to clear the main bazaar, the administration sealed 12 shops and apprehended two shopkeepers during an anti-encroachment campaign that began in Landi Kotal bazaar on Thursday.
Three restaurants were also closed for selling sun-standard food in the bazaar.
Assistant Commissioner, Landi Kotal Afraseyab Zubair Hundal along with other administrative officials removed illegal structures besides issuance of notices in this regard.
He sealed 11 shops that encroached in the various streets of the bazaar and cleared the Bacha Chawk from the fruit vendors.
It is stated that administration had asked leaderships of Anjuma-E-Tajeran, Landi Kotal bazaar to convince the shopkeepers to abolish encroachment volenteerly but to in avail.
In a statement issued from the AC office stated that 11 shops of flour, generals’ stores and other sellers in Landi Kotal bazaar and hospital square, who were found placing their merchandised goods outside their shops to encroach were sealed.
The statement expressed the hope to smooth the way for pedestrians walking in the main bazaar.
AC, Landi Kotal vowed that no one will be permitted to encroach in the bazaar and legal action will be taken against those found involved in it.
Earlier the administrative official visited Landi Kotal bazaar and hospital chawk and examined various trade centers, restaurants, kitchens and food stalls.
He checked the food items and observed the cooking process of it.
The locals appreciated the campaign and asked the administration to regularly conduct it to keep the streets of the bazaar from encroachment.
