14 health facilities sealed for different violations in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Care Commission has launched a grand operation against healthcare establishments across the province and sealed 14 health facilities in Peshawar here on Wednesday. According to KP health care commission, the inspection teams have inspected various health care establishments to ensure provision of quality health care services. The commission has constituted five inspection teams across the province which consisting of 10 field officers from all zones for the inspection. The officials said that a total of 320 health care establishments were inspected in district Peshawar and 14 health care facilities were sealed. DLP Report
They said that the facilities were sealed due to different malpractices, unhygienic conditions, absence of qualified staff, and recovery of expired kits/reagents/dental cartridges and lack of proper waste disposal management systems. The provincial health care commission also served showcase notices to nine health facilities for failing to compliances to necessary directions of the inspection teams.
