Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid has said 14 to 15 legislators of opposition are supporting Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan.
“If Fazlur Rehman is most fond of tabling vote of no confidence against Imran Khan he is at liberty to fulfill his desire. PM had not talked of presidential system and emergency in federal cabinet meeting. Opposition is doing nothing against the government”, he said this while talking to media men during his visit to mother-child healthcare hospital Monday.
Bilawal says they will come and the weather will be cloudy. Weather will not be cloudy at all. Bilawal Zardari should come on February 27. The remaining should come on March 23. If Fazlur Rehman is fond of coming to Islamabad he should also come. Nothing is going to happen in sit in and long march. Opposition politics has failed”, he observed.
He went on to say those talking of vote of no trust should know that legislators have to be brought in vote of no confidence move. Opposition members from 14 to 15 are supporting Imran Khan, he added.
I had said finance bill would be approved in Senate and every one knows that every bill of government is approved in Senate following its passage in national assembly, he remarked.
I don’t know about presidential system or emergency neither these subjects have been discussed in cabinet meeting, he pointed out.
To a question about approaching IMF he said no one goes to IMF willingly but one goes under compulsion. Earlier we have gone to IMF for 23 times. We have to go to IMF to uplift economy. We will exit IMF when national economy becomes robust and thieves, robbers and plunderers will be in the dock.
He indicated China has no objection over our going to IMF. PM Imran Khan is leaving for China on February 03. Our relations with US and China will be based on the principles of equality. China is our all weather friend. We have better relations with it.
He held US is a power and we will have to maintain relations with US as well. We can not annoy any one to please some one.
We are aware of growing economic problems in Afghanistan, he said adding the entire world should extend support to Afghanistan.
He indicated PM Imran Khan has said three months are very crucial. PTI will achieve success in LB polls besides participating in it with full force.
It is my endeavor that I should oversee the development projects after every 15 days. I will visit all uplift projects after February 20.
Terrorism has escalated in Balochistan, he held. 10 Jawans have rendered sacrifice of life in Balochistan. We will together counter BLA and TTP terrorism. We are reviewing law and order situation.
The Interior Minister strongly condemned the recent killing of five innocent Kashmiris in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He also regretted the maltreatment meted out to Muslims in India.
He indicated that Prime Minister Imran Khan will soon perform the groundbreaking of Nullah Leh project in Rawalpindi.
To a question he said no one has talked to me that portfolio of any minister will be changed. If some one talks to me about change of portfolio I will present my recommendations.
