MARDAN
At least 15 people were killed while 19 people got injured in a roofs collapse, electric shock and drowned incidents while 80 houses were fully damaged while 132 houses partially damaged due to recent heavy rain continued in Mardan district, a senior female officer said.
Aasma Arif, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Relief and Human rights said that 11 people died due to roofs collapse, 2 people drowned in flood water while 2 people died due to electric shock in Mardan district. She added that 19 people got injured in the recent heavy rain in Mardan district.
Aasma Arif added that more than 80 houses were fully damaged while more than 132 houses partially damaged in the recent heavy rain.
She added that 2 cattle perished in the recent heavy rain. She added that the heavy rain also badly damaged crops in different parts of the district.
She added that district administration officials, rescue 1122, TMA and other departments of the district took part in the rescue efforts in the district which is continued until now in some parts of the district. She argued that all the cases will be processed as per compensation policy.
