16 arrested; stolen bikes, phones recovered in one month

Peshawar Police have arrested 16 people in cases of phone and motorbike snatchings and other street crime in one month.
Speaking to media, SP City Waqar Azeem said that 108 others were arrested in drug smuggling and other crimes in the month.
“The police also recovered more than about Rs2.4 million cash, 5 tolas ornaments, 16 motorbikes, three cars, 45 mobile phones, more than 100 pistols, 5kg ice and 61kg charas,” Waqar said.
The action was taken on the directives of the Capital City Police Officer Muhammad Ali Gandapur, said the official.
He said the operations against the outlaws in various areas of the provincial capital would continue.
