Peshawar(PR):Pesco BoD’s 112th meeting was held at Wapda House Peshawar. Chairman BoD Pesco Malik Muhammad Asad Khan presided over the meeting. Company Secretary presented Minutes of 111th BOD meeting which were approved after detailed discussions with minor amendments.
Pesco BoD discussed the measures taken to make Pesco a profitable entity.BoD reviewed the performance of last quarter (July 2016 to September 2016). To facilitate consumers, important steps have been taken by BoD by creating new Circle,Divisions and sub divisions.According to the details, 7 new sub divisions in Peshawar Circle have been created by bifurcating old sub divisions namely Nishtarabad,Lala,Wazir Bagh,Gulbahar,Utmanzai,Shabqadar and Gulbela sub divisions , similarly 9 new
sub divisions in Mardan Circle have been bifurcated / trifurcated namely Lahore, Zaida, Thordher, Murghuz, Topi, Gadoon, Kalabat, Razar, Bamkhel, Cornal Sher Khan and Khado Khel sub divisions, Bifurcation of existing Mardan-2 division and creation of new Takhtbai Division along with office of Assistant Manager(Revenue) ,Bifurcatin of Swabi-1 division and creation of Razar Division,Bifurcation of existing Swabi 2 Division and creation of new Topi division along with office of Assistant of Manager(Revenue),Creation of Kohat Rural Division by Bifurcation Kohat Division and most important, Bifurcation of existing Mardan Circle into 2 and creation of New Swabi Circle along with all posts including Dy:Commercial Manager,Dy:Director M&T, Dy:Director Technical, and other supporting staff as per Pepco yardstick.BoD also approved upgradation of Line Staff,Ministerial staff,Commercial,Accounts,Drawing staff and Grant of BPS-17 to senior Superdentents,Revision of Ministerial staff yardstick,purchase of vehicles for Officers and field staff from scrap money. Procurement of 250000 static energy single phase meters,adoption and approval of the annual audited Financial statement for the year ended 30th June 2016 were also approved.BoD was told that in the next 5 years, 38 new Grid Stations will be constructed and up gradation of 9 Grid Stations,Rehabilation of 2 Grid Stations,up gradation and installation of 9 power transformers,installation of 551 KM Transmission Line will be processed. BoD approved a cash prize of Rs.6,50000/- for the 13 officials of PMU and certificates for PMU Officials, for their excellent performance.
Chief Executive Pesco Anwar Ul Haq Yousafzai gave Presentation to the board about Pesco’s performance. CEO said that Line Losses have been decreased by( -4.4%_ while Recovery has been increased by 1.5% during the last quarter. CEO vowed that he will do his best for the betterment of the Company.
He said Pesco employees have to be efficient in resolving consumer’s complaints. Similarly public is also requested to remove kundas,so that they can benefit from the relief given in load shedding like good areas.
Board Members including Chief Executive Pesco Anwar Ul Haq Yousafzai, , Syed Musawar Shah, Iftikhar Ahmad Khan, Col:Rtd Jahanzeb Khan,Col:Rtd: Alam Zeb,Dr.Amjad Ullah Khattak,Qamar –U- Zaman,Nimat Ullah Abid, Chief Engineer Shabir Ahmad,Chief Engineer PMU Dr.Muhammad Amjad,Chief Engineer Operation Mohsin Raza,Director General PR Shaukat Afzal ,Director General HR Muhammad Saleem Jahangir and Secretary Board Khurshid Ahmad Orakzai, attended the meeting.
Later on 18 AGM was held wherein Minutes of 17th AGM were approved. Pesco Audit Reports for the year 2015-16 approved while appointment of Auditors / Accounts for the year 2016-17 were also approved.
