18 outlaws arrested; drugs and weapons recovered

Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 18 outlaws from different areas of the city and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police have intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Karachi Company police team arrested an accused namely Shahab Zaman involved in illegally refilling gas cylinder. Shalimar police team arrested two accused namely Zohaib and Qassim Khan involved in illegal selling petrol. Khanna police team arrested the accused namely Allah Ditta and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession.
Likewise, the Koral police team arrested an accused namely Jamil and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession.
The Sihala police team arrested an accused namely Adel Ullah and recovered 250 gram heroin from his possession.
The BharaKahu police team arrested an accused namely Fahad Hussain and recovered 15 liters of alcohol from his possession.
The Phulgran police team arrested an accused namely Abdullah and recovered 14 liters of alcohol from his possession.
Similarly, the Industrial Area police team arrested an accused namely Waseem and recovered 30 liters of alcohol from his possession. Noon Police team arrested an accused Hamad Ur Rehman involved in illegally selling petrol. The Bani Gala police team arrested an accused namely Fahad Shahab and recovered two bottles of wine from his possession.
While police teams also arrested the accused namely Jahan Zaib involved in illegally selling petrol. During a crackdown against absconders police teams arrested five absconders from various areas of the city. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is under way.
ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan directed all senior officials for an effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling and possessing illegal weapons. He further said that the safety of the lives and property of the citizens is our prime responsibility and the performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a continuous basis.
