The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and its implementing partner Ehsar Foundation, successfully distributed 180 tons of dates among families affected by recent floods across various regions of the country.
According to a press release issued here on Tuesday, the initiative was designed to support vulnerable and disaster-affected households by providing them with nutritious food assistance.
Dates, being rich in essential nutrients, are an excellent source of natural energy and play a vital role in improving food security and overall well-being.
Under this project, distributions were carried out in two districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Peshawar and Shangla, three districts of Gilgit-Baltistan Ghizer, Gilgit, and three districts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Haveli, Poonch, and Sudhnoti. The initiative benefited 22500 families who were severely affected by flooding and displacement.
