19 outlaws arrested; drugs and weapons recovered

Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 19 outlaws from different areas of the city and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a public relations officer said. He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police have intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Aabpara police team arrested an accused namely Mudasir Ashraf and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession. The Secretariat police team arrested an accused namely Sajid Ali and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession. Golra police team arrested three accused namely Amir Shahzad, Adnan and Kamran and recovered 874 gram heroin from their possession.
Likewise, the Tarnol police team arrested two accused namely Adil Mehmood and Mehtab and recovered 1,880 gram heroin from their possession, while police team also arrested two accused namely Abdul Haleem and Shahzad involved in illegally refilling gas cylinders. The Sangjani police team arrested three accused namely Yasir, Irshad and Zahid Akhtar involved in illegally refilling gas cylinders.
Similarly, the Sumbal police team arrested two accused namely Zubair Khan and Sahil and recovered two 30 bore pistols with ammunition from their possession. The Khanna police team arrested an accused namely Haris Ahmed and recovered a 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession.
Lohi Bher police team arrested an accused namely Ejaz Ahmed and recovered 251 gram heroin from his possession. The Bhara Kahu police team arrested an accused namely Mustafa Abid and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession. The Phulgran police team arrested an accused namely Sohail Ur Rehman and recovered one Kalashnikov from his possession. Shahzad Town police team arrested an accused namely Naseem and recovered 245 gram heroin from his possession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is under way.
ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan directed all senior officials for an effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling and possessing illegal weapons. He further said that the safety of the lives and property of the citizens is our prime responsibility and the performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a continuous basis.
