2 kill, 10 hurt in road mishap at zero point on Pak-Afghan border, Torkham

KHYBER: Two Afghan citizens died and ten others including a Frontier Corp soldier sustained wounds when an Afghanistan bound loaded container slipped down on pedestrians at zero point of the Pak-Afghan sharing border, Torkham on Sunday noon. The forces and administration officials informed that a number of pedestrians, mostly Afghan nationals, were waiting for entry to Pakistan from Afghanistan when a container fell down, trapping many of them under it. It is said that the heavy truck that had parked for filing exit data, started moving and fell down on the walkers after hitting a roadside blockade. Immediately after an incident, relief and rescue works were initiated and recovered the injured while removing the container through heavy machinery, officials said. Eight injured were shifted to headquarter hospital, Landi Kotal, however two others were taken to Afghanistan health center, sources said. Our Correspondent
