ISLAMABAD: Federal government has increased the basic salaries of Chief Justice and Judges of Supreme Court (SC) by 20 percent. The basic salary of Chief Justice of Supreme Court has been increased by RS 204865. The basic salaries of other judges of Supreme Court have been increased by RS 19, 3527. According to sources, earlier Chief Justice of Pakistan was drawing salary of RS 10, 24324. Judges of Supreme Court were drawing salary of RS 9, 67636. President has canceled SC Judges Salary Order 2022 in this regard. Earlier Chief Justice was getting monthly salary more than 15 lakh with all privileges. The running salaries of judges of Supreme Court were more than 14 lakh per month with all privileges. According to Federal Secretary Law Raja Naeem, no reduction has been made in salaries of judges. Acting President Sadiq Sanjrani has promulgated ordinance regarding salaries of judges of Supreme Court. According to issued ordinance, the salary of Chief Justice of Pakistan will be 12, 29189 rupees. The salary of Supreme Court Judge will be 11, 6163 rupees. Ministry of Law has promulgated the ordinance after the approval of Acting President. Online
