PESHAWAR
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has put 20 officers of the Elementary and Secondary Education Department district Peshawar under suspension for absence from the online Khuli Kachehri (open court) of the newly appointed Special Assistant to KP CM, Mohammad Asim.
The Khuli Kachehri was organized by the Special Assistant to KP CM on Elementary and Secondary Education, Mohammad Asim on Sunday (October 5, 2025) for the purpose of knowing the facilitation of the public of Peshawar to resolve their issues pertaining to schools and other related issues.
20 officers including seven Sub-Divisional Education Officers (SDEOs) (Male and Female) and 13 Assistant Sub-Divisional Education Officers (ASDEOs) (Male and Female) have been put under suspension for a period of 120 days.
The notification issued in connections with the suspension issued by the Elementary and Secondary Education Department said that all officers except the suspended the officers were present in the meeting. Due to the absence of the suspended officers some queries of the public were not addressed properly therefore, they are hereby placed under suspension for a period of 120 days in terms of Rule-6 of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government Servants (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 2011, on account of lack of interest in the official business.
As the suspended officers were not served without any prior notice, so a special note on the notification says that charge sheet and statement of allegations will be served separately.
