20 outlaws arrested; drugs and weapons recovered

Islamabad capital police apprehended 20 outlaws from different areas of the city and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said. He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Aabpara police team arrested an accused namely Shahbaz Anwar involved in bootlegging and recovered 15 bottles of alcohol from his possession. The Secretariat police team arrested the accused namely Naeem involved in illegally selling petrol.
Similarly, the Margalla police team arrested the Nigerian national accused namely Fatal Olajide and recovered 15 liters of alcohol from his possession. Karachi company police team arrested three accused namely Aksar Khan, Ejaz and Qaiser Masih and recovered 20 liters of alcohol, 239 gram ice and 15 cartridges of 30 bore pistol from his possession.
Likewise, the Golra police team arrested two accused namely Muhammad Zahid and Ali involved in selling petrol illegally. The Sumbal police team arrested an accused namely Sher Ali and recovered 1200 grams of hashish from his possession. Khanna police team arrested the accused namely Atif Hussain and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession.
Moreover, the Kirpa police team arrested an accused namely Shahbaz involved in illegally selling petrol. Sihala police team arrested an accused namely Haseeb Ismail and recovered a 32 bore revolver from his possession, while police team also arrested the accused namely Saeed Anjum involved in illegally selling diesel. Furthermore, the Lohi Bher police team arrested an accused namely Raees and recovered 826 gram heroin from his possession. The Phulgran police team arrested an accused namely Basit Ali and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession.
During the crackdown against the absconders and proclaimed offenders, the Islamabad capital police teams arrested four absconders. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
CPO/DIG Operations Islamabad directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling and possessing illegal weapons and said that the safety of the lives and property of the citizens is our prime responsibility. The performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a continuous basis, he maintained.
