ISLAMABAD: Islamabad capital police have arrested 21 absconders involved in heinous crime during the last 24 hours, a police public relations officer said. He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, special tasks were assigned to all police officials to ensure the arrest of proclaimed offenders and absconders involved in heinous crimes. During the crackdown Islamabad capital police teams of Secretariat, Margalla, Shalimar, Aabpara, Bhara Kahu, Phulgran and Bani Gala police station team arrested 21 absconders during the last 24 hours. CPO/DIG Operations Islamabad Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari has appreciated the performance of the police team and said that Islamabad police are making all out efforts for the safety and security of citizens. He further said that, the Islamabad Capital Police is taking all possible steps to eradicate crime from the city and those involved in heinous crimes and illegal activities will be dealt with iron hands.
