An earthquake of high intensity jolted upper districts of KP on Saturday-Sunday midnight but no causalities or property damages were reported. According to geological wing of PMD, tremors measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale were felt in Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Chitral, Dir Upper, Malakand, Kohistan and various other surrounding areas. People of the areas where the quake was felt were asleep at the time but awakened and hurried out of their homes in panic. The epi-centre of the quake was stated to be in Hindu Kush mountains, 191 kilometer beneath the earth crust.
