Special travelling facilities for women
LAHORE: Transport department has operational -zed special buses for the women travelling in metro bus service. According to transport department and mass transit five special buses in metro bus service have been allocated for women. 5 speedo buses have been made operational on metro track temporarily in connection with traveling facility of women. Punjab transport minister Bilal Akbar Khan has said additional buses have been included to save women from harassment during rush and to provide them safe travelling facility. Under the directives of Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz the speedo buses have been made part of metro fleet. He pointed out new metro buses will soon be purchased and dedicated for women on permanent basis in place of speedo buses. Safe travelling for women is first and foremost agenda of CM Punjab. ONLINE
