502 cases registered against traffic rules violators in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: According to details, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police started registering the cases against traffic rules violators involved in serious traffic violations, a public relations officer said. He said that, so far 502 FIRs have been registered in different police stations of Islamabad Capital Police against those committing various traffic violations, while the driving licenses of 649 drivers have been revoked. Furthermore, 106 permits have been suspended, and notices have been issued to 43 individuals for traffic violations. Special squads of Islamabad Capital Police have been deployed at important boulevards of the city and have been directed to ensure implementation on traffic rules and regulation.
