LAHORE: JI Amir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has said certain clauses of 26th and 27th constitutional amendments stand in clash with the constitution and Shariah and we reject them. The rulers have always tried to suppress the judiciary through different tactics. “ we are opposed to transfer of judges and immunity to any powerful. There should not be separate standard of education for rich and poor. 44 percent people are living below poverty line. 24 to 25 lac cases are pending hearing in the courts, he said this while addressing general council meeting of Lahore High Court Bar (LHCB) here.
LHCB president Babar Murtaza Khan, secretary general Qasim Ejaz Simra, JI Amir Lahore Zia ud Din and others were present on the occasion.
He held steps like transfer of judges, pressure on judiciary and granting exemption are affecting justice system. These steps are tantamount to attack on judiciary.
He said certain families, land lords and capitalists have occupied the political parties. Efforts are underway to weaken the power of the lawyers.
He said no party either condemned Trump on barbarity in Gaza or held demonstration against US and Israel.
President LHB Babar Murtaza said high court judges are being transferred on the pattern of civil judges. The entire condemns such steps.
