KARACHI, (INP): During a press conference in Garden headquarter Karachi, Senior Superintendant of Police (SSP) UmerShahid said that three suspects were held in Malir’s Ghazi Town graveyard while smuggling weapons.
“We received a tip that arms and ammunition of London militant wing of a political party are lying there in JafarTayyar society and the cache is being moved to a graveyard for concealing it,” said SSP CTD.
At this, the CTD personnel sprang into action and arrested three suspects, seizing the arms cache from them, he added.
The arrested suspects were identified as Anwar Hussain – a joint unit in-charge of M?(London), AsifMumtaz and KhurramShehryar. Officials seized six Kalashnikovs, an LMG, six repeaters, five handguns, two 7mm rifles and several live rounds.

“I committed the murders on the orders of MuqarramZaidi who was our unit incharge,” said one of the suspected terrorist.
CTD has said that the weapons were used to spread terror in the city.
Speaking with regard to Sehwan blast, the SSP said two CTD teams are working on it and raids have been conducted in several parts of Sindh including Jamshoro and Shikarpur. “We have also interrogated suspects who were already under custody,” Shahid said.
“The investigations held so far indicate that HafeezPandrani (HafeezBrohi) network, which has also carried out terror activities in Sindh in the past, is also behind the bombing at LalShahbazQalandar’s shrine in Sehwan,” he said.
CTD officials say the group has its network spread up to Wadh, Mastung and other areas in Balochistan.
