75th Independence Day celebrated by Uni of Chitral with great zeal

The University of Chitral on Sunday celebrated the country’s 75th Independence Day with traditional zeal and fervor. In this regard, a program was organized on the lawn of the University of Chitral by the university administration.
The celebrations started with the National Anthem and followed by the flag hoisting ceremony.
The Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Zahir Shah was the chief guest of the celebrations in the campus.
He congratulated the nation on the completion of 74 glorious years of independence.
The Vice Chancellor paid homage to the great leaders of the nation including Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
A large number of students, faculty members and administrative staff participated in the programme.
Later on, trophies and certificates were distributed to the winners and runners-up teams of Sports Week.
A jeep rally was also taken out from the university campus to Jagur Bridge by the university administration.
A large number of students and public participated in the rally.
