Strict action will be taken under law against related persons upon damages of government property

Supreme Court (SC) while ordering KP government to prepare manual and digital record of all the government property in the province in order to preserve government property has sought implementation report from the provincial government within six months.
A two-member bench of SC presided over by Justice Qazi Faez Isa took up the plea filed against Peshawar Municipal corporation in connection with possession of land purchased by a citizen Taimoor Hussain.
Court remarked that all entries should be included in the record in order to identify government property and record of government property of province should be kept in every local government.
Court further observed that digital record of government property should also be preserved in secretary local government and rural progress office along with local government.
Court directed that Chief Secretary and Secretary local government should deliver court orders to all local government officials.
Court observed that strict action will be taken under law against related persons upon damages of government property.
