The local administration of Landi Kotalon announced banning of fireworks commodities and aerial firing because of security reasons.
The political tehsildar Landi Kotal, Irshad Mohmand said that due to excessive use of fireworks goods and aerial firing carried out by the tribesmen during marriages and other celebrations, the ban was imposed.
The mal-practice is hazarding to the residents in addition it causes a security threat to the forces, he added.
In this connection the administration had pasted banners on public places inscribed with reading of prohibiting of it.
Meanwhile the administration launched crackdown against merchandise of fireworks commodities in Landi Kotal bazaar and netted two shopkeepers while selling the prohibited products.
