LAHORE : PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif will appear before FIA investigation committee today (Tuesday) here and he has completed his consultation with his legal team on this count.
Following his consultations with his legal team he has decided to appear before the FIA investigation committee.
It is pertinent to mention here FIA has summoned Shahbaz Sharif today on June 22 in connection with sugar scandal and in this regard summons have been issued to him.
It has been told that Shahbaz Sharif has issued directives to PML-N workers to reach outside office of FIA on the occasion of his appearance. On the other hand FIA has decided to step up security outside its offices due to appearance of Shahbaz Sharif. FIA have sought security from CCPO Lahore.
FIA has sent a letter to CCPO Lahore in this regard saying investigations are underway against former chief minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz Sharif in FIA and FIA has summoned Shahbaz Sharif on June 22 and Hamza Shahbaz on June 24. FIA offices be provided more security in the wake of arrival of PML-N workers.
