PESHAWAR
About 70 percent teaching staff and students of Madrassas, religious seminaries, in Peshawar have been vaccinated against the Covid-19, said a statement released by DC office.
According to details, an important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar Capt (retd) Khalid Mahmood here on Friday in which all representatives of Madrassas participated.
The meeting discussed in detail the process of corona vaccination in madrassas of Peshawar. The DC was informed that the process of corona vaccination in the madrassas of provincial capital is in full swing and scholars and dignitaries of all schools of thought are increasingly participating. He was briefed on the occasion that 70% of the scholars along with students have completed their Vaccination.
Additionally, the remaining students and their teaching staff would be vaccinated in the next couple of weaks.
Mobile vaccination teams under the supervision of District Health Officer in collaboration with District Health Officer in different madrassas and mosques on daily basis. DC on the occasion said that for the first time in Pakistan, corona vaccination in madrassas in the provincial capital is in full swing and the scholars are cooperating fully in this regard and their Friday sermons.
He appealed to the religious scholars to cooperate more so that the corona can be eradicated from Peshawar by the grace of God.
