Polio team was allegedly attacked and forbidden to consume drops to children in village Umer Chang at Thatta’s hilly belt in Jhimpeer police range here on Tuesday.
According to reports polio team comprised by Zubada Chang and Ali Mohmmed went to Umer Chang village the villagers beaten the team up and forbidden to enter their village to consume drops to their children. SHO Jhimpir when asked to comment, he told there was not polio drops consuming issue the actual matter was that Ali Mohmmed and villagers had a tussles on domestic issue on which they were not willing their opponents to enter in their village and consume drops to their kids.
Meanwhile Polio vaccination incharge Dr Nazeer Khwaja confirmed and told team has informed him regarding being subjected to torture by villagers and denying to consume polio drops.
