ISLAMABAD: Armed robbers looted millions of rupees from a private bank in broad daylight here on Friday and shot injured a security upon resistance. According to details, eight armed robbers shot injured a security guard and entered a private bank in Sector G-11 of Islamabad. The robbers held the bank staff hostage at gun point, took 15.8 million rupees cash into custody and fled the scene. Despite being informed, the police reached the spot after prolonged delay providing an opportunity to robbers to flee. The injured guard was hospitalized in critical condition and Ramna police after registering a case against unidentified robbers have started an investigation. INP
