International Youth Day celebration event held in Peshawar on the occasion of International Youth Day for the youth of the newly merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
On the occasion of International Youth Day, an event was held for the youth of the newly merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in collaboration with the United Nations, Community Resilience Activity-North, and the Department of Youth Affairs, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Liaison Corporation.
Special guests on the occasion were Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Higher Education and Information Kamran Khan Bangash and Advisor on Augaf, Hajj, and Religious Affairs, Muhammad Zahoor Shakir.
The event was attended by officials from the Department of Youth Affairs and the United Nations. Participants took part in a panel discussion and a question and answer session with members of the panel.
Chief Executive Officer of Liaison Corporation Muhammad Usman gave a detailed briefing on youth policy, ongoing and completed projects in the newly merged districts.
At the ceremony, local artists performed on the occasion of August 14 and paid tribute to the police martyrs who sacrificed their lives for peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Addressing the function, Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Higher Education and Information Kamran Khan Bangash said that it is our good fortune that a large population of Pakistan consists of youth who are working day and night for the development of the country.
As a cabinet member, I have visited all the newly merged districts and got a close look at their deprivations and backwardness, so the provincial government is trying to take effective measures for the welfare of the newly merged districts on an emergency basis as soon as possible.
So that their frustrations can be remedied. Health, education and employment opportunities are top priorities for the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governmenthas tried hard to provide more facilities to FATA University, better law and order situation are a reflection of the successful strategy of the provincial government.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has always talked about the rights of the youth. I am proud to be one of the few youths whom Prime Minister Imran Khan trusted and made a member of the parliament by giving the party ticket.
Addressing the youth, Special Assistant Kamran Bangash said that you have to ensure the fulfillment of your dreams with hard work and dedication. The event was attended by youths across the tribal belt who appreciated this effective initiative of the government.
Finally, Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Higher education and Information Kamran Khan Bangash and Special Advisor on Auqaf, Hajj, and Religious Affairs Muhammad Zahoor Shakir presented certificates and awards to the participants.
