Government fails to materialize promises made with merged districts: ANP

Provincial General Secretary and parliamentary leader in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP)of Awami National Party(ANP)Sardar Hussain Babak has said that the incumbent government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) deliberately attempt to fail the merging scheme as it neglects to materialize promises made with tribesmen of merged districts.
He stressed upon the Pakhtun community to join hands with ANP, the lonely political party ensures their rights, guaranteed by the Constitution.
Addressing a workers convention here in Haji Naeem Hujra (male guest house) in Khuga Khel village of Landi Kotal on Thursday evening he said that war cannot be a solution to problems and urged for restoration of durable peace in the territory.
He said that the tribesmen of the ex-tribal region have suffered a lot in the last two decades therefore time has come to recognize them as citizens of Pakistan and facilitate them with all basic rights assured by the law.
He suggested resuming all crossing routes with Afghanistan to enhance bilateral trade to provide job opportunities to the Pakhtuns of merged districts.
Founding friendly relations with neighbors and recognizing their sovereignty will reduce expenses on arms race and additional money will be utilized for the welfare of the people, Babak remarked.
He criticized the provincial government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and said its parliamentarians failed to laud voice for the rights of the province.
District chief ANP Shah Hussain Shinwari, Vice-President Shereen Afridi Shiekh Janzada and others also spoke on the occasion.
