Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan while taking federal cabinet on board on the matter of notification of DG ISI has said we all are on one page and will soon resolve the matter.
PM said the notification matter be not given wrong color.
An important meeting of federal cabinet was held under PM Imran Khan Tuesday. Fateha was offered for Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan.
The political and economic landscape of the country was reviewed n the meeting. Afghan situation was also discussed. The cabinet approved several agenda items.
The cabinet also approved to set up Special Riots Force to deal with the riots and demonstrations. Reduction in visa fee on the arrival of Afghan citizens in Pakistan and inclusion of authority as important stake holder in CPEC category visa were also approved.
Approval was also accorded for introducing automation system to issue power of attorney by overseas Pakistanis, renewal of K-2 airways domestic license and domestic and international license of Sial Airways limited, reconstitution of PEMRA Council of complaints, bringing merit system under federal regulator with regard to admission into government medical and dental colleges,
The endorsement of decisions of cabinet committee for transport and logistics was postponed. ECC decisions were endorsed.
As per sources cabinet was given briefing on state of the art method for ending monopoly in agriculture sectors and enhancing production.
Establishment division presented report on vacant posts in different divisions and ministries.
MQM demanded in the cabinet meeting that Islamabad airport be named after Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan.
Federal minister Amin ul Haq said some city or science related building be named after Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan.
MQM complained for not taking it into confidence in the matter of electoral reforms.
Amin ul Haq said we are allies and we should be taken into confidence. If we are not taken on board then it will be difficult for us to side with the government.
PM said while addressing Amin ul Haq, said your complaint is just and we will take MQM into confidence.
GDA too supported MQM on the matter of electoral reforms.
