Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has said Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has proved how much he respects law and the courts.
“We will implement Supreme Court (SC) orders within 4 weeks and place the report before the court. The APS tragedy took place during PML-N government. Had we wanted so we would have shifted all the burden to PML-N” he said this while talking to media men in Supreme Court (SC) premises here Wednesday.
He went on to say Imran Khan is flag bearer of law and justice and it is pivot of his politics. The SC ordered at 9.30 and Imran Khan reached the court direct from his home. PM has shown to have implemented rule of law and constitution by appearing in the court. This is important part of PTI manifesto. This is respect which PTI led government gives to institutions. We see Pakistan national unity.
He held every Pakistani is grieved over APS tragedy. We had an easy way. PML-N government was in place in the court at that time. We could shift all the responsibility to PML-N, Nawaz Sharif, the then interior minister and said the matter is over. We could say Nawaz Sharif and army chief should resign. But we formulated National Action Plan after long consultation. We eliminated terrorism from the country. The life returned to normalcy in the country after national action plan. We are taking ahead national action plan today as well. The entire nation stands behind national action plan.
The credit goes to interior ministry, intelligence institutions, Pakistan army and ISI which implemented excellently the prudent decisions of political leadership of the country and rendered unprecedented sacrifices, he observed.
Intelligence failure occurred in 9/11 incident, he said adding 7 bombers stayed for 3 months in a hotel located in front of White house. But no one could know about them.
