PESHAWAR
Vice Chairperson, Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Dr Faiza Rasheed said owing to inexperienced and incompetence of the ruling PTI government, the country is passing through difficult phase of its history and confronted with numerous challenges.
In a statement issued here on Monday, Dr Faiza said that Pakistan has been confronted with challenges and issues at internal and external fronts, in which economic crisis is at top list as it has caught up in economic quagmire, because of surging foreign debts, which has surpassed to 50,000 billion dollars.
Similarly, she said the dollar has also touched a new peak, which was rapidly devaluing the Pakistan rupee.
But, she lamented, it is highly unfortunate that some members of the federal cabinet, without evaluating ground realities, are saying that increasing prices of essential food commodities and medicines won’t make a difference or hit the poor masses.
The QWP leader said that the awful/painful statement of ministers is tantamount to sprinkling salt on wounds of poor masses.
Dr Faiza noted that the government had come in the name of change and elimination of corruption would be its prime objective, but the corruption has historically increased in the era of present rulers.
She maintained that all international institutions have fully agreed with corruption that the corruption had done in the Rawalpindi Ring Road Project, high prices of medicines, Sugar, flour and petrol scandals whereas the government has carried out cruelty with the poor by imposing a number of taxes since coming into power in 2018.
Despite the fact that the crude oil prices had declined in the international market and petrol prices decreased by Rs17 per liter globally, only Rs5 per liter has been decreased in Pakistan, which is called a major achievement of the incumbent government and relief for poor masses.
