Assistant Director Food Safety and Halal zAuthority (FSHA), Tank recovered and destroyed 3,000 litres adulterated milk on the spot. Heavy fine was also imposed against the milk mafia involved in supplying and selling adulterated milk.
According to Authority on the special instruction of Director General HFA, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Rukh Khan, Assistant Director FSHA Wasif Khan inspected the samples obtained on the spot from the milk tanker with help of modern laboratory and taken action against the mafia involved in adulteration of food items.
On this occasion, Assistant Director Wasif Khan told the media that those elements who were committing adulteration in food items were the enemies of the people, adding that strict action would be taken against those involved in such heinous act as adulteration do not deserve any kind of concession.
He warned the shopkeepers and milk sellers of adulteration to refrain from this inhuman act or be ready to face strict legal action. He vowed to continue the drive against the adulterated milk mafia.
