Biography of Eminent Story Writer Rasool Bux Dars Launched

A book titled Jhumpir Jo Jhunjar containing biography, political ideology, and interviews of stalwart ideologist and story writer Rasool Bux Dars, compiled by veteran historian and literati Taj Johyo was launched at an event in Jhumpir to mark his first death anniversary.
A considerable number of his students, poets, literati, members of nationalist parties and journalists attended the event to pay tribute to one of the finest literati figures of the recent past who envisioned Sindh,s future and depicted it through his stories, articles, and ideas.
He was a teacher by profession who spent a major part of his life gracing students with the precious jewel of knowledge in different parts of the province and at the same time.
He continued to evaluate social taboos of Sindh and made those an integral part of his stories.
Addressing the event former Vice-Chancellor of Sindh University Fateh Mohammad Burfat said that Rasool Bux shed light on the core issues of Sindh including poverty, lawlessness, feudalism, and literacy adding that his stories carried a deep message and a definite vision for the coming generations.
Social activist Dr. Samina Waheed said that Rasool Bux Dars would be remembered for his unprecedented commitment and dedication. “He surpassed different milestones in the field of literature and he will be remembered for his extraordinary hospitality and evocative discussions on different issues of Sindh.”; She mentioned.
Very few people knew about his deep affiliation with music, “ I saw him guiding well-known singers of Sindh about the ups and downs of music”, said nationalist leader Nawaz Shah Badai. Dr. Niaz Kalani, Taj Jayo, Umer Khoja, Mahboob Brohi and others also applauded the efforts of veteran literati.
