The newly-elected Mayor of Tehsil Mirian Bannu Pir Kamal Shah along with 14 newly-elected Independent Neighborhood Chairmen and Tehsil Councilors has joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The announcement was made during their meeting with Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Sardar Faisal Amin Gandapur at his office in Civil Secretariat Peshawar on Friday.
They expressed unwavering confidence in the party chief, Prime Minister Imran Khan, KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, Local Government Minister Faisal Amin Gandapur and all the central and provincial leadership of the party as well as reiterated their commitment to make all out sacrifices for the cause of the party and over all national interest. On this occasion, the minister wore them the party caps and mufflers.
It may be recalled that Tehsil Mayor Pir Kamal Shah had already formally announced his joining PTI during meeting with Chief Minister Mahmood Khan at Chief Minister’s Secretariat Peshawar a week ago.
Appreciating the spirit of the newly elected local body representatives, the provincial minister assured that they would not feel alienated in PTI as its workers are serving the people like one family and endeavoring to portray Pakistan’s national identity in the comity of nations world over besides they are working hard for the development and prosperity of the nation.
The Minister hoped that the new comers in PTI folds would all and sundry carry out their mission of selflessly serving the masses with a new zeal by joining hands with ordinary party workers at the level of towns, streets and bazaars.
Sardar Faisal Amin Gandapur said that local government system is the best way to solve the problems facing by the people at the local level.
“This system has been always an integral part of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision from day one”, he maintained by adding that as soon as the new Tehsil and Neighborhood Councils start their work, the provincial government would start transferring billions of rupees to them so that they can be able to provide all the civic facilities of health, hygiene, sanitation, drinking water, street lights and other municipal services and developmental works amenities to the people at their door steps in a scientific and automatic manner.
Accompanied by Pir Kamal Shah, the delegation of Bannu LG councils chairmen thanked the provincial minister for giving them proper hearing, encouragement and taking keen interest in resolving the regional issues and public grievances of their concerned areas.
