Government of KP presented investment opportunities in Mines and Minerals sector in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during a conference at Dubai Expo 2020.
Present on the occasion were Mr. Muhammad Arif, Minister Mines and Minerals, GOKP, Mr. Adeem Khan – Commercial Counselor, Consulate General of Pakistan in UAE. Mr. Muhammad Humayun Khan, Secretary Mines & Minerals Department, GoKP, Mr. Hassan Daud Butt, CEO KPBOIT, Mr. Kamran Afridi, DG KP-CTA, international investors, Pakistani business community and others.
Mr. Hassan Daud butt, CEO KPBOIT apprised the audience regarding the value addition mines and minerals is providing towards GDP of Pakistan and the available investment options to reach the maximum potential in the mines and minerals sectors.
Minister mines and minerals briefed the audience regarding the myriads of resources that KP has to offer, specially in marble, limestone, emeralds, coal etc. The minister also extended the invitation to invest in Mines and minerals department and assured full support from GOKP.
A detailed presentation on investment potential in the sector was given to the audience by director exploration which generated a lot of interest.
During the conference a letter of intent was signed for investment in marble and limestone sector.
