Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has said the nation becomes impoverished due to theft rather than shortage of resources.
“ Health card will bring about revolution in health department. PML-N gained growth by obtaining loans. The factory will become bankrupt if robbers are appointed therein. Nation becomes poor due to theft rather than lack of resources”, he said this while addressing launching ceremony of Naya Pakistan Sehat card here Tuesday.
“I did not see Pakistan becoming welfare state. But when I went to UK I saw welfare state first time in my life. I saw there a patient is provided treatment facility despite having no money. Free medical treatment was provided in the national hospitals therein. I got treatment for my mother therein”, he remarked.
He underlined West is far ahead of us in the matter of welfare state and on the other hand I say with regret that may be there is any welfare state among Muslim countries.
PM remarked we should bring money from where to transform Pakistan into state of Medina. Maximum money is spent on health. In UK the health budget is more than Pakistan overall annual budget. We are providing health insurance cards. This will not be found in the West because money is paid against insurance therein while our government is providing this free of cost.
He pointed out our population is growing speedily. We have no resources to build hospitals for the entire population. This health card is being provided for the first time which will bring about revolution in health department in Pakistan.
He indicated Punjab government is spending Rs 400 billion only on health cards.
5.60 percent increase has been witnessed in our national wealth, he added.
On the matter global warming our changes were appreciated at global level, he indicated.
Switzerland is rich due to the reason no theft and no Qabza group are therein, he said adding the institutions are robust therein and this struggle is for Pakistan on our part. We will have to pursue norms of justice to make Pakistan a welfare state.

Like us the previous government had promised to you to make South Punjab province but we will fulfill our pledge, he underscored.
Injustice has been done with the people of South Punjab as share of budget has not been provided to them proportionate to their population, he observed. Now this injustice will be allayed.
On next meeting with You I will come here to inaugurate South Punjab secretariat, he announced.
