Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib said that Akbar S. Babar has failed to provide evidence to Scrutiny Committee and statement of Rana Sanaullah is open attack on Judiciary.
Farrukh Habib further said while addressing the media outside Election Commission that PML-N did not refute statement of Rana Sanaullah. They should not brag and give appropriate answer in the Court as PML-N has no justification to provide regarding funds of Rs.640 million.
Farrukh urged Election Commission to isolate PTI former leader Akbar S Babar from the case and hear the case itself. . He also said that accounts of all political parties must be scrutinized.
He held that 9 bank accounts of PML-N were secret while PPP did not provide any record of Rs.350 million.
Farrukh said that after retirement of a member of Scrutiny Committee, the committee has become dysfunctional. He requested Election Commission to activate Scrutiny Committee again and prepare a detailed report of PML-N and PPP.
He said that Scrutiny Committee has exposed claims of Akbar S. Babar. He neither presented nor have any evidence of foreign funding, therefore, he must be separated from the case. A petition has been filed in this regard.
Farrukh Habib also said that PML-N and PPP want to escape from law. Why donot Maryam and Bilawal talk about their accounts?
Farrukh further said that PTI is a law abiding political party and cannot allow PML-N to attack judiciary. PML-N did not condemn statement of Rana Sanaullah. First they have to answer who is Masroor and Maqsood.
He said that first time in the history of country, powerful people are scared from law and accountability.
He concluded that whoever looted the country must be held accountable.
