‘Vawda’s disqualification in dual nationality case a win of truth’

Chairman, Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP), Muhammad Faiq Shah has congratulated the party legal team, Mian Muhammad Asif Mehmood Advocate, budding lawyer Nazakat Abbasi Advocate and Secretary Information Awais Khan over lifetime disqualification of senator Faisal Vawda by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in dual nationality case.
He criticised that PPP and other opportunist groups ran away regarding this important national matter. However, he said his party remained firm against lies, betrayal and pressure.
“We have always kept supreme public interests”, He emphasized that a better opposition role should be constructive.
He criticised that the senator Faisal Vawda openly defied rule and law and constitution of the country, so it was essential to stop him.
Time has gone when people stand helpless and tied hands before cruel or powerful segments, Mr Shah said. He vowed to continue carrying out strict accountability and assessment at every level.
He maintained the party’s struggle would be sustained for merely attainment of the public and protection of their rights. He added this democratic movement will be accelerated with constructive thinking and approach.
On the occasion, the party legal team, Mian Muhammad Asif Mehmood Advocate, Nazakat Abbasi Advocate and Secretary Information Awais Khan termed the disqualification of Senator Faisal Vawda as a landmark achievement and win of ATP legal battle.
Members of the party legal team viewed the delay in delivering justice as tantamount to compromise on people rights.
Therefore, they urged ECP and other relevant institutions to ensure quick dispensation of justice and service delivery.
“We didn’t approach to ECP and superior judiciary under any pressure, threats or political boundedness and obstacles, but fought against falsehood, dishonesty and pressure”,
The ATP leaders opined this fight was for public rights and authority as they considered the assessment of people like Faisal Vawda as national obligation and cause.
They vowed the party would come into action whenever attempts were made to usurp people rights.
“We are not making struggle for sake of any personal interests or political compulsions but we have initiated the battle for public authority, which will be sustained at any cost”,
They noted the senator Faisal Vawda consistently did betrayal and disrespect of national trust/guardianship or deposit.
The ATP leader said that Faisal Vawda was continuously making jokes about the law and constitution. We will continue to hold accountability and assessment as well as political and social struggle, they vowed.
Faiq Shah congratulated his legal team, central leaders for the prolonged legal battle. He reiterated his firm resolve that the verdict will be public and make sure people have authority at every level.
