ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested an accused involved in rape of a six-year-old girl, a spokesperson said. According to the details, a mother of the girl lodged a complaint with Koral Police Station on February 18, 2022 that accused Suleman raped her daughter when she went to get bread. The Koral police registered the case number 378 on February 18, 2022 under sections 376/377B. Inspector General of Police Muhammad Ahsan Younus took notice of the incident and ordered immediate arrest of the suspect. Following directions of SP (rural zone) Ziauddin Ahmed, SHO Koral Police Station Sub-Inspector Azeem Minhas and Inspector Ahmed Kamal of SSOIU unit rural circle along with their team arrested the main suspect Suleman in a minimum time through a technical method. Further investigation in the case is underway and the police would submit a challan with the solid evidence in the court to ensure conviction of the culprit, the spokesperson said.
