Police arrest 15 for displaying arms in Peshawar

Police claimed to have arrested 15 suspects during crackdown against arms display, said a handout.
It said that all the suspects, including individuals, have confessed to being involved in the arms display during the preliminary investigation.
Five Kalashnikovs, two M16 rifles and a pistol were recovered from their possession. Cases have been registered and investigation has been started, said police.
Details said that Rural Division Police arrested 15 accused identified as Azeem, Noman, Bismillah and Kamran.
Similarly, SHO Shahpur Shakeel Khan has arrested three accused Marjan, Syed Behramand and Tahir Ali while SHO Regi Riaz Khan Police Station arrested eight accused Kamran, Zahid, Farooq, Jawad, Rahat, Hadi, Nemat and Siraj from whose possession modern automatic weapons were also recovered.
Among the weapons recovered were five Kalashnikovs, two Hundreds of different bore cartridges including M16 rifles and pistols have also been recovered. The Rural division police has registered cases against the arrested accused and started investigation.
