The provincial president of Pakistan People Party (PPP) Najmuddin Khan has directed party workers to brace up for the anti-government long march and ensure maximum participation.
He expressed these views while chairing the meeting of the provincial cabinet held in the provincial secretariat here on Friday.
The members of the cabinet also strongly condemned bomb blast in Kisa-Khwani Bazaar and urged the provincial government to take immediate steps for best medical assistance for injured.
The meeting discussed the preparations for the long march and the participation of workers from KP.
While discussing the party’s organizational matters and party activities throughout the province, detailed discussions and consultations were also held.
He directed the workers to fully participate in the long march. The meeting also clarified the strategy of the long march and assigned the task to the officials.
Addressing the meeting, the provincial president Najmuddin Khan said that PTI and its allies have failed miserably to run the country.
The country’s economy is on the brink of collapse and people are committing suicide due to high inflation and unemployment, he added.
He said that Prime Minister Imran Niazi had promised 10 million jobs and 5 million households to the people but in the three years since he came to power he has made millions unemployed and homeless.
The PPP president claimed that people were fed up with the present rulers and want to get rid of them.
Najmuddin Khan claimed that the people of the country considered PPP as their savior, adding that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has announced a long march from Karachi to Islamabad to save the people from the incumbent government.
“It will prove to be the last nail in the coffin of the people and the flood of people will drown the PTI government,” he added.
