Special Secretary Housing Punjab Ahmed Mustajab on Tuesday visited Double Road Ramazan Bazaar and reviewed the quality and prices of food items.
He visited all the stalls and also asked the buyers about the usefulness of Ramazan bazaars. Additional Deputy Commissioner General Capt (retd) Qasim Ijaz also accompanied him.
Speaking on the occasion, Ahmed Mustajab said that Ramadan Bazaar is a test for administrative officers so that the facilities provided by the Punjab government could reach the common man. He said that strict action should be taken against those who over-charge citizens in Ramazan bazaars and the stalls of such persons should be canceled immediately.
The Special Secretary Housing expressed satisfaction over the cleaning arrangements in Double Road Ramazan and said that warning should also be given to the shopkeepers and citizens who spread filth in Ramazan Bazaar.
During his visit to Ramazan Bazaar, the Secretary Housing personally reviewed the price list at each stall and also directed the citizens to purchase items at fixed rates.
