In the view of Supreme Court of Pakistan orders concerning National Assembly Deputy Speaker ruling on vote of no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister Imran Khan, Awami National Party has written a letter to the Secretary of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly for ensuring rules of business and supremacy of constitution,
The letter, written by ANP parliamentary leader and provincial general secretary Sardar Hussain Babak stated that the secretary and secretariat of the provincial assembly would ensure observance of the constitution and law.
He also hoped that the provincial assembly would be run under the constitution, law and rules of business.
The ruling party in the province was trying unsuccessfully to save the government. At the same time, it is violating both the national institutions and the assembly, the letter said.
The letter written by the ANP parliamentary leader further said that it is the collective responsibility to prevent possible unconstitutional measures by the government. Members of the Assembly should strengthen the hands of the united opposition to ensure the constitution and law in the greater interest of the province.
