Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani while expressing his concern over growing cases of COVID-19 in the country has directed to take precautionary measures in the Senate and wear masks.
During Senate proceedings on Friday senator Mohsin Aziz said on a point of order on one hand the people are being murdered mercilessly on economic front and the industries are becoming shut and on the other hand people are facing life threats.
COVID-19 cases are resurfacing in the country but neither they are being published in the media nor tv channels are showing them.
No institution is functioning at present in the country to deal with COVID-19 epidemic, he held.
Today certain senators have too been infected by corona virus and hospitals are becoming burdened with corona patients.
He demanded of the government to take immediate measures to deal with the matter.
