PESHAWAR: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday imposed a fine of Rs50, 000 on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Housing Dr Amjad Ali for addressing a public meeting in Swat in violation of the code of conduct issued for by-elections in PK-7 Swat. In a notice issued by district monitoring officer (DMO) Swat Imran maintained that the Housing Minister Dr Amjad had been fined after a show cause notice. The ECP imposed a fine on the provincial minister Dr Amhad Ali for attending a public meeting in Kabal Tehsil of Swat on June 12 in connection with the election campaign for a PTI candidate. PK-7 Swat seat has been vacated due to the death of ANP MPA in a by-election scheduled to be held on June 26. DLP Report
