The Peshawar High Court Bar Association, establishment of Peshawar High Court and establishment of district Judiciary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday jointly organized a program to bid farewell to outgoing Honorable chief Justice Yahya Afridi who has been elevated to Supreme Court Judge and welcome incoming Chief Justice Peshawar High Court, Honorable Justice Waqar Ahmed Seth.
All sitting Judges of Peshawar High Court, Presidents of all District Bar Associations and Tehsil Bar Associations, members of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council, Superintendents of district judiciary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, officers of Peshawar High Court principal seat and four benches that is Bannu Bench, Abbottabad Bench , D. I Khan Bench and Dar Ul Qaza Swat, all District and Sessions Judges and senior civil judges of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa judiciary attended the farewell program followed by dinner at Peshawar High Court building.
Honorable Chief Justice Yahya Afridi addressing the participants said that common wisdom of bench and bar was essential for dispensation of justice.
Chief Justice said that Bench and the Bar are integral parts of the system of judicial administration. The legal fraternity played a vital role for the rule of law and supremacy of the Constitution in the country.
He said that cordial relations between the bench and bar were necessary for quick dispensation of justice to litigants and strengthening the judicial system.
